We are a small animal practice, which means we can treat dogs, cats, rabbits and all small creatures such as hamsters, guinea pigs, gerbils etc.

We are also a RCVS registered Training Practice, which means we have been assessed by the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons as being a practice able to support and train student veterinary nurses. We are aligned with Writtle College in Essex who serve as our VNAC and give us support and further nurse training.

We operate OPEN SURGERIES and APPOINTMENTS

OPEN SURGERY- during these times you are welcome to bring your pet to see the vet without an appointment. You will be placed in a queue to see the vet and may have to wait some time, depending on how busy the surgery is. All clients arriving within the surgery time will however been seen. Clients arriving outside of these hours will be asked to come back at another time or an appointment will be made.

APPOINTMENTS- you will be booked a standard 10-minute appointment with the vet. When booking please explain to the nurse why you are bringing your pet to the surgery, this enables us to give you the best appointment time for your pet.
If you are bringing more than 1 animal, then please ask for a double appointment.

NURSES APPOINTMENTS- these are FREE OF CHARGE consultations with one of our qualified nurses, you will only be charged for any procedures carried out, nail clipping/anal glands for example. The nurses are available to discuss any aspect of general pet health care including- weight clinics, flea checks/advise, worming, diet advice, new puppy/kitten checks, anal glands, 2nd vaccinations. Please ask if a nurse appointment will be suitable for your pet.

SURGERY OPENING TIMES

For general enquiries and sales the surgery is open between 8.00am and 6.30pm. Please do not come to the surgery at any other time without a specific appointment.

Animals being admitted to the surgery for any operations/treatment etc should arrive between 8.00am and 9.00am ONLY
